It was a crisp winter morning in Augusta, Maine, as I walk swiftly across the freshly paved sidewalk. I turn my head to see my surroundings, and I am met with a startle in my path. I fall to the ground. I look up to see a tall bushy man in my presence. He offers his hand out to me.
“Accidents are one’s best perfections,” he says to me in a raspy voice. As I use one hand to shade myself from the ever so persistent sun, I grab his hand with my other.
And a flash of light takes me.
The foggy light from my eyes fades, as I focus in on a new world. I have never been here before. A world of blue welcomes me, and for miles, that is all I see. I am in Augusta no longer, and I may not be anywhere at all.
“Could this be the afterlife?” I said out loud to myself. The words left my mouth, and a strong ringing echo fills my ears. Not long before another voice takes over.
“Hello,” a soft crisp voice says to me. “How was the trip down?” the voice continues.
Confusion fills my head, but I reply, “Where am I?”
“Hey! I ask the questions here,” the voices says sternly.
“Well if I knew where I was, who you were, what ‘down’ means, and endless other important information maybe I would answer you,” I said with sass in my voice.
“To answer one of your questions, I am Urano. For some more answers, get up off your butt and come with me,” he replies.
