Victory is Ours

The clock is ticking,

The parents wishing

That their kid’s team will win.

But only one will finish

Out on top.

Just for a while,

Until the next one rolls around.

This is it,

The answer’s clear.

There is no need,

Need to fear.

As this is what we were meant to do.

Struggles in the past,

Blowouts made it last.

But now we have proven ourselves.

This is where it all begins.

Keep it up,

Keep it cool.

Slow down and make your rules.

You can own the game,

Just take it all in.

This is what we were meant to do.

We can do it again.

We can fight again.

We won’t fail,

We will prevail.

Even if it’s not fact,

Teamwork we do not lack.

Green Circle Spins

Round and round it goes When will it stop? The colour of grass and lime Make my skin as white as the snow That falls oh how heavily On the patchy gravel roads The money paid doesn’t getaway From the cracks and holes spotted daily Or the roadkill on the sidewalks As I walk down […]
