Proud

Wow,

I am proud.

As proud as the Earth is round.

As how a whistle makes a sound,

And cheerleaders cheer loud.

Of myself,

And others,

For all your dedication.

Thank you for everything,

I guess the preparation,

Was worth the struggle.

Time moves low when things get tight.

I guess I might,

Just have to cross my fingers.

And move a little to the right.

Once a sub comes in a wonder if I am next.

The sound of the buzzer.

We best not rush her,

As she shoots those two small shots.

Only a second to go,

A foul, oh no!

I am sure it will be okay.

Keep your heads up,

Never back down and always go past your “limits.”

They may not name us,

But I trust,

That we won after all.

Green Circle Spins

Round and round it goes When will it stop? The colour of grass and lime Make my skin as white as the snow That falls oh how heavily On the patchy gravel roads The money paid doesn’t getaway From the cracks and holes spotted daily Or the roadkill on the sidewalks As I walk down […]
