Two-Sided Sword

One day it’s fine,

The next I’m trying,

Not to let myself hit the wall.

Just trying to have fun,

Rules were made for no one.

But I guess I see why you get mad.

I just want to live life to the fullest.

Not worry about my grades.

I guess you just took it,

As me running away.

Life can flash before your eyes.

One slip away it is.

I want to stay happy,

And in the moment.

These beakers make me want to cry,

My life doesn’t want to be shy.

The flask I’m using wants to crack,

And I won’t try to hold it.

My hopes are big and differing,

I could go anywhere.

I promise if I could share,

My positivity,

I would because I care.

It sounds stupid but life is short.

Enjoy it all,

And swear that you will always be happy.

Even when it’s hard.

Green Circle Spins

Round and round it goes When will it stop? The colour of grass and lime Make my skin as white as the snow That falls oh how heavily On the patchy gravel roads The money paid doesn’t getaway From the cracks and holes spotted daily Or the roadkill on the sidewalks As I walk down […]
