Difference

You cannot find two people who will always get along.

That is just not our nature.

Bickering, fights, rumors, and betrayal,

Haunt our lives every day.

For some difference comes in many forms,

Such as being loud or shy.

Or maybe over political views or through asking an opinionated question.

It sucks to me when I feel difference.

Like a change has suddenly occurred.

And that I have to change around how I was in my world.

Talk to others, try my best to be the bigger person.

But it sucks to feel like you are in fact the only person who cares.

Difference takes up my life and the people that are in it.

I truly feel that people can change and that mistakes are not life long sentences.

I have said the wrong thing, said too much to the wrong person, cried over people that shouldn’t matter and been a bad friend too.

It is up to anyone to own up to what made you,

Make those choices and how that changed that.

Or the feelings will bottle up too much,

Until you want to rip your head off.

There isn’t anything wrong with a mask or hat.

Or something to temporarily change yourself,

For the benefit of your heart.

But you should have those people,

In which there is nothing to hide.

And you can feel good about who you are and what you are inside.

Green Circle Spins

Round and round it goes When will it stop? The colour of grass and lime Make my skin as white as the snow That falls oh how heavily On the patchy gravel roads The money paid doesn’t getaway From the cracks and holes spotted daily Or the roadkill on the sidewalks As I walk down […]
