sparkles and glitter

watch it shine,

watch the one that once was mine.

how it flickers oh so bright,

with just the smallest little might,

I swear every room it enters it gives light.

the smallest pearl,

in the centre of the world.

no wonder it is so lonely,

I’m sure it’s just a sad old thing.

thinking “why can’t someone hold me?”

but every time he tries to speak,

he is denied and his bones are weak.

now, this is when we reach the end.

of this extravagant little creature.

the rimes grow sharp,

the answers are,

lying in the sand.

the worst of it all,

the rise and the fall,

is that he will never grow tall.

for the sun will rise,

and everyone on earth might

forget to be wise.

and one after another,

there goes his brother!

each creature dies.

don’t be a spectator,

do not leave them to wonder,

where the earth is that cared.

goodbye old friend,

your shimmer shall not end.

and your spirit guides us now.

Green Circle Spins

Round and round it goes When will it stop? The colour of grass and lime Make my skin as white as the snow That falls oh how heavily On the patchy gravel roads The money paid doesn’t getaway From the cracks and holes spotted daily Or the roadkill on the sidewalks As I walk down […]
