Camera Flash

Oh how a moment can be captured

So easily

Unlike in history

No need to stand and wait

For a painter or slow pace

The worries can fade away

When a worksheet needs copying

Or a lesson needs note-taking

No need to work or sweat for those reasons

No need for a photographer

Just use this thing I got for Christmas

I swear I know just how to use it

It will look great

I promise

Cameras flashing are rare now

It seems so fancy to see

Especially during sports

As the action is undoubtedly fast

The basketball baskets

The hockey and soccer goals

The rugby tries

The football touchdowns

And volleyball kills

So fast for our little devices

On stage, you may see cameras

But no flash

Do not want to scare performers

Maybe dancing girls and boys

Or theatrical camps and programs

The possibilities are endless

Cameras have captured history

But now with a swipe and press

So can we.

My Birthday

On this day years ago, I was born. Miles and oceans away, I did not know where life would take me. In the hospital that has since burned down, located in the Garden State. The island nation that feels so close but is so far. Upside-down is how I was at first, and my parents […]

I See It

I see it in every move I make, and the fears I fear overtake. This is what I am meant to do? Or is it simpler? Should I live the natural way? Or force things into an uncomfortable place? Should I stay? Should I stay the same? This has changed everything. I do not know […]
