One day while I was walking down the street, I see a little gremlin and I think to myself, what a wonderful world this is. The cars pass, the lights flash, and a little glimmer of hope appears in an ever so small window. The twinkling light of a phone, showing my every move. Embarrassed but unknowing, my thought process in action.
This gremlin you wonder, who might he be? A friend or foe, I really don’t know; that is something that we will have to wait to see. Blonde hair and skinny as a stick, but that doesn’t matter to me. For I am a rabbit, in a world full of carrots. And man is he orange.
His dyed blonde hair, googly eyes, how could I resist? With a push of a button, a smile of a friend, this happiness has come to an end. Why must you look this way? I thought in frustration. Why can’t you look like the others? I pondered.
A confrontation of killers, a talk of the manatees. Questioning the thoughts and actions that brought me to this very passage. Reading as I think of all the lights we passed on this road together. I dream for it to happen again, but consequences rush like lighting patterns. Striking on every spot, none the very same. For this world is harsh my gremlin, but no gremlin is too ugly for me.
For what a wonderful world this could be.
