The start of the years

Where we seem to reveal

Who we truly will become.

Through the tears

And irrational fears

I somewhat hope this year was done.

This is when I start to realize

All the moments before.

The changing of ourselves begins

As the childhood begins to die.

Saddened by the world

As it is about to eat us up.

All the horrific realities we have to face

I guess we have bad luck.

The sins of those before

Have given us the burden.

As it seems like folklore

Before

The times that brought us floored.

I am happy

Believe me, it is so.

The cakes and candles light up my eyes

But heaven knows where I will go.

This path ahead will

Bring such dread.

But at many moments I will smile.

The earth leans in

And will take a bow

All the while

This world

And its unfortunate beguile.

Green Circle Spins

Round and round it goes When will it stop? The colour of grass and lime Make my skin as white as the snow That falls oh how heavily On the patchy gravel roads The money paid doesn’t getaway From the cracks and holes spotted daily Or the roadkill on the sidewalks As I walk down […]
